Tramp Oil Percent

Definition:

Tramp Oil Percent is determined by centrifuging the sample and measuring the separated oil. Tramp (sump) oil is unwanted oil that has mixed with cutting fluid (metalworking coolants). Sources of tramp oil are lubricant seepage from slideways, rust-preventive coatings used on metals and hydraulic fluid leakage.
