JAVA Developer/Engineer
Job Description: POLARIS Laboratories is currently recruiting for a Software Engineer. This is a full-time position and the selected employee is eligible to participate in POLARIS' full benefit package (medical/vision/dental benefits, short and long term disability, flexible spending accounts, 401k and a discounted rate to a local health club). Our IT Team is working with the latest and greatest softwares and tools. The selected candidate will obtain or further their experience in Spring 3, Hibernate, JPA, Wicket, Groovy and Maven! This position is located in Indianapolis, and only candidates that are in or willing to live in Indianapolis will be considered.
Essential Functions:
- Develop, support, and enhance requested applications/features
- Develop support, and enhance the Horizon application
- Assist with design and estimates of new features and patches
- Provide accurate feedback of planned, current, and completed work
- Provide application infrastructure support
- Provide support on issues affecting supported applications
- Any additional tasks requested by management to promote the success of the team, department, and company
Job Requirements:
- 3+ years of relevant work experience
- Demonstrated ability to develop complex systems using Java based technologies
- Hibernate framework
- LINUX Ubuntu (preferred)
- PostgreSQL (preferred)
- Spring framework (preferred)
- Demonstrated passion for development and new technologies
- Understanding of proper development techniques
- Understanding of database design and support
- Proven ability to work with a team
- High level of initiative
- Ability to multi task and take direction from team lead and managers
- Willingness to work flexible schedule in order to meet current project goals
- Ability to work in under pressure and timelines
Lab Technician
Job Description:
POLARIS Laboratories, LLC. is searching for dependable, self-starters with leadership potential to fill full time Laboratory Technician positions in a laboratory testing facility.
The individual must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where meeting deadlines is essential. Experience within a manufacturing or production industry is preferred. A background in chemistry is preferred but not required, and a technical or mechanical aptitude is a plus.
Salary for this position is based on education and experience, with the range beginning at $9.00 per hour. POLARIS Laboratories® provides excellent benefits along with opportunities for continued career growth to its team.
